China and ASEAN in Post-Pandemic Era

Abstract

Under the circumstances of multiple challenges of environment, climate and economy in post-pandemic ear, China and ASEAN’s high-quality energy cooperation not only meets the requests of all countries for common development, but also helps to give a demonstration effect and explore a new model of high-quality the One belt and One Road Initiative. China and ASEAN’s high-quality energy cooperation has complementary conditions between energy and the market, and it has had a relatively mature foundation of energy cooperation and mechanisms. With the formal signing of the RCEP and the support of high-quality the One belt and One Road Initiative and other policies, it will have a more promising future.  But at the same time, it is also faced with the difficulties of fragmented cooperation, overlapping mechanisms, bad environment, unstable relations, concentration of content, structural imbalance and so on. China should take “concept lead, solid relationships” as the starting point, in the way that contains model innovation, content adjustment, expand innovation, environmental optimization, ability improvement, target upgrade, added benefit, to promote regional energy cooperation process and explore the new path for the development of high quality.
